Geordie Audio
About the Album
Thank you for taking an interest in my debut album - ‘Geordie Audio’. You can buy it on Bandcamp here and iTunes here! It will be available on CD and Vinyl soon, so follow my socials and visit my website frequently for updates.
We started putting it together in late 2023 and finally finished it in October 2026, literal days before release. With us both being single fathers, we had to put as much work in to the scarce amount of free time we had and it slowly formed into what it is today.
Here is a brief description of each track.
Geordie Audio
The title track of the album, it’s about making music when you don’t have much to make it with. Making use of what you have and letting the passion, not the fancy equipment, define your sound. Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine, recorded most of the Rage guitars on a tiny amp he bought at a thrift store. It still sounds excellent!
I Love the Toon
It’s about how much I love the Toon, believe it or not. I include all of the things I love about Newcastle and add loads of famous Geordies into the mix.
Don’t Just Give it Away
I hate influencers, this is about why. Taking advantage of people to make money. The only thing they inspire is selfish greed.
You’ll Love it
I take inspiration from many different bands and performers and this is a homage to all of them. From Primus to QFX and everything in between. You’ll love it.
SNAKE!!
A friend of ours was in a relationship with someone that was a very manipulative person, gaslighting, sly and quite unpleasant to our mate whilst acting completely differently in public. All of this along to a lovely slap bassline and a chorus inspired by the track ‘Lizard’ by the legendary Mauro Picotto.
Line Them Up
A tune about going out drinking and a night I had that was more interesting than most.
Entitled...People
I hate people that aren’t very nice and have no consideration, compassion or empathy for others. Thinking they’re better than others so they don’t need to use common courtesy. The world would be a better place if they stopped being horrible. Interesting fact, this tune started when I played the wrong bass chord backwards.
Funky Puddle
I like to spread good vibes to everyone I meet. I describe the aura I give off as a funky puddle, making everyone stepping in it or who get splashed by it happier and improving their day.
The Girl in the Dene
I met a lady at a party in Jesmond Dene quarry years ago and she had this effect on me that meant I didn’t forgot her. It’s a song about her. Am not a stalker, though. Actually, a few years later I think I might have met her and realised who she was! I didn’t ask if it was her though.
You Just be You!
People who dress ‘differently’, live ‘differently’ or like things ‘normal society’ deem childish or weird, are often ridiculed and spoken down to or mocked by people who dress the same as most people in the country and conform so hard they barely exist. This tune is about me telling those people to fornicate off and to show my support to the people who are different in any way and urge them to be proud of who they are.
In the Hands of Serendipity
I love parties at the beach. This one is about a party at the beach. It started as two random chords on a piano that I recorded on my phone at a friends house somewhere. At some point. I have no idea where though.
Stompin’ Through the Hills
If life’s getting a bit much, you can go to the countryside for a look about and a bit of a wander around. Just don’t leave rubbish or tip over any cows. This is a tune about the prior.
Questions Aboot Vampires
It took over a year of trying to find a topic for this one. I was going to write it about a lovely lady with whom I went on one of the best dates I had ever been on (and actually came up with the main riff in my head after I got home because I was so happy), but it, sadly, didn’t work out. Then I was going to write it about my online dating experience and how rubbish it was. Then I was going to write it about my son, Geordio Junior, but nothing seemed to fit. So it’s about questions I’d ask vampires.
You’ll Never be Alone Again
Too many good people take their own lives, there’s always another way, always someone who’ll listen and offer help. I am joined on this tune by some awesome singers, Caz Attak, Oui Bee, Glad Town Ghost, Victoria Owsnett and Baz A-Reed. It’s about letting people know there’s always someone to talk to and to help you out and listen to you. You are loved, if it ever gets too much, talk to someone. Please.
